The research focused on studying the geology and sedimentology of the Paloh-Lebir Highway area in Gua Musang. By analyzing different types of sedimentary rocks like sandstone, shale, siltstone, and mudstone, the researchers identified five distinct facies in the study area. These facies indicate a depositional environment ranging from shoreface to tidal flat.
