New Electron Acceptors Boost Photosynthesis Efficiency in Plants!
Substituted benzoquinones like DCDMQ and TMQ were tested to see how well they can accept electrons in the photosynthetic process. DCDMQ was found to be a better electron acceptor than regular benzoquinones, while TMQ didn't work as well. This means these substituted compounds could be useful in helping plants with their photosynthesis.
