Revolutionary Process Removes 80% of Oil Content from Wastewater!
The researchers tested different methods to remove oily compounds from wastewater, focusing on reducing COD levels. They found that the Photo-Fenton process was the most effective, reducing COD by 80.59%. The optimal conditions for all processes were a pH of 3 and a temperature of 30°C for Photo-Fenton and UV/H2O2, and 20°C for Fenton. The best chemical reagents were H2O2 at 800 mg/l for Photo-Fenton, 1500 mg/l for Fenton, and 2000 mg/l for UV/H2O2, along with Fe2SO4·7H2O at 60 mg/l for Photo-Fenton and 100 mg/l for Fenton.
