Higher Sharp-Crested Weirs Boost Discharge Capacity for Improved Flow Control.
Weirs are structures used to control and measure water flow in open channels. This study looked at how the height of a sharp-crested weir affects its ability to handle water flow. By testing different weir heights, researchers found that taller weirs can handle more water. They also came up with an equation to predict how well a weir will perform based on its height.
