The growth of Silver Carp and Bighead Carp in Dianshan Lake was studied using data from 2006 to 2008. The researchers calculated growth indexes and relationships between weight, body length, and fat degree of the fish. They found that the weight of Silver Carp is related to body length by the formula W=6×10-5L2.8371, and for Bighead Carp, it is W=5×10-5L2.8609. The fat degree of Silver Carp in summer ranged from 0.001913 to 0.002165, while for Bighead Carp, it ranged from 0.002129 to 0.002436. The growth speed of Silver Carp and Bighead Carp in Dianshan Lake was slower compared to other water areas.
