The study focused on improving the process management technology for cooperative product development in networked manufacturing. Researchers introduced a hierarchical process strategy to handle the complex nature of this management. They analyzed and designed a task model for project management and a control role for workflow technology. The study also presented an implementation technology for cooperative product development using the Web.
