Spiral Up-flow Reactor System Maintains High Nutrient Removal Efficiency Under Varied Conditions
The study looked at how different operating times (HRT) affect a wastewater treatment system called SUFR. When HRT was longer than 8 hours, the system maintained high removal rates for pollutants like COD, TN, and TP. Even with a shorter HRT of 6 hours, the system still performed well, although not as efficiently. The SUFR system showed strong stability and could handle increased wastewater flow without major issues.
