They found five types of rangelands, each with varying productivity and nutritional content. The study showed that the forage plants in Tianzhu County are abundant but have poor yield and quality. To improve the rangelands, the researchers suggest using a combination of grazing and dry-lot feeding to manage pasture and livestock, promoting vegetation recovery and developing the rangeland animal industry.
