Wild Grass Carp Outshine Farmed Counterparts in Nutritional Value
The study compared the nutrients in wild and farmed grass carp muscles. Wild grass carp had more protein and essential amino acids, but less fat and moisture compared to farmed grass carp. The fatty acid composition also differed, with wild grass carp having higher n-3 PUFA content. This suggests that wild grass carp muscles are more nutritious than farmed ones.
