High Temperatures Boost Phosphogypsum Decomposition Rate to 99% in Minutes
The researchers found that increasing the temperature and time of heating can boost the breakdown of phosphogypsum. At 1100 ℃ and 1150 ℃ with a C/S ratio of 0.7, over 99% decomposition was achieved in 20 minutes. At a constant temperature of 1200 ℃ for 5 minutes, the decomposition rate exceeded 99%.
