Optimizing Planting Density and Row Spacing Boosts Maize Yield in Hebei.
The study looked at how different planting densities and row spacing affect the yield of summer maize in a specific region. They tested two maize varieties and found that increasing plant density slightly increased yield but decreased grain number and weight. Wide-narrow row planting at a high density was the best method for improving yield components, particularly grain number and weight, leading to a significant increase in maize yield.
