Middle and lower Weihe River reaches increase flood carrying capacity.
The study analyzed the flood carrying capacity of the middle and lower reaches of the Weihe River in 2009. By examining water levels and discharge data, as well as factors like beach elevation and embankment strength, the researchers calculated the river's ability to handle floods. They found that the river sections could carry 4200 m3/s in Baoji, 5300 m3/s in Yangling, Xianyang, and Xi'an. This information is crucial for predicting and managing floods in the area.
