Revolutionizing nonlinear system estimation: Unleashing the power of UKF over EKF
The article compares two methods, extended Kalman filter (EKF) and unscented Kalman filter (UKF), for dealing with nonlinear systems in estimation. EKF uses a linearization technique to handle nonlinearity, while UKF uses a sample-based approach. The experiments showed that UKF outperformed EKF in terms of stability and accuracy on a MATLAB platform.
