Total organic carbon in water can show how polluted it is. This study looked at how total organic carbon is related to chemical oxygen demand and biological oxygen demand. The correlation between total organic carbon and chemical oxygen demand was very high at 0.9918, and with biological oxygen demand, it was also strong at 0.9362. This information can help us understand how polluted water is.
