Resting cells optimize phenyllactic acid production, yielding 2.88g/L under precise conditions.
The scientists studied how to make phenyllactic acid using resting cells. They figured out the best conditions by testing different factors. They found out that using 9.9% resting cells, 3.72g/L substrate, and a temperature of 33.4℃ gave the highest amount of phenyllactic acid. This combo produced 2.88g/L of the acid, just like they predicted it would.
