Optimal planting dates for summer cotton boost crop yield and quality.
The way cotton is planted and the timing of planting can affect how well the cotton bolls develop. The temperature during the boll period plays a big role in this. When the daily mean temperature is around 20℃, cotton planted after wheat harvest doesn't develop as well as cotton planted on its own with normal seeding time. But if the temperature is around 18℃, there isn't much difference in boll development between the two planting methods. For best results, it's recommended to plant cotton before May 30 for interplanting, and around May 15 for single culturing or transplanting between June 10-15.
