Heavy metals in Jiangsu drinking water pose higher health risks.
The goal of the study was to assess the health risk of heavy metals in drinking water in Jiangsu Province. Researchers analyzed six different heavy metals in the water and used a health risk assessment model to evaluate the potential risks. The study found that the total health risk level from the heavy metals was higher than one recommended level but lower than another. The most concerning heavy metals in terms of health risk were Cr6+, Zn, Cd, Hg, and Pb.
