Major Hospitals Embrace Microblogging for External Communication and Crisis Management
The study looked at how public hospitals use microblogs. They found that top hospitals are in big cities and most are teaching hospitals. In Beijing, hospitals use microblogs the best. Microblogs are used for sharing information, comments, maintaining the hospital's brand, and spreading scientific knowledge. This shows that microblogs are important for hospitals to communicate with the public. To manage hospital microblogs well, hospitals should have a plan, choose content carefully, handle crises, and avoid negative comments.
