By analyzing national fertilization data and consumption statistics, the authors predict that the total output of phosphate fertilizer in China will be 9 million tons in 2003 and 9.5 million tons in 2004. They also examine the marketing demand for compound fertilizer and the production status in 2002 and 2003. The study concludes with a prediction of the development trend for China's phosphate compound fertilizer industry.
