New study reveals key factors influencing crop evapotranspiration patterns.
The researchers studied how water is lost from crops in Sanhe city. They used a formula to calculate this water loss. They found that the amount of water lost from crops changes throughout the year. In general, the amount of water lost due to radiation is the most important factor all year round. Another factor, called aerodynamic evapotranspiration, is more important in winter than in other seasons.
