A new system for classifying vegetation in Guangdong Province was created. It includes 5 groups, 12 types, and 31 sub-types of vegetation. The first two groups are coniferous forests and broad-leaved forests. In total, there are 5 types, 15 sub-types, and 48 representative formations listed in the scheme.
