New study finds Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu seeds rich in heart-healthy fats!
The fat content and fatty acid composition of Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu seeds in Qingyuan were analyzed. The seeds contained 8 types of fatty acids, with oleic acid being the most abundant. Harmful erucic acid was not found in the seeds. Oleic acid content was highest, followed by palmitic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid. Oleic acid was negatively correlated with palmitic acid and linoleic acid.
