Provenance tests were done on 26-year-old Larix olgensis trees in Jiagedaqi. The study found stable characteristics and variation in the trees, allowing for early selection. Different provenances showed significant differences in tree growth. Nine provenances were grouped into five regions based on growth patterns. The best provenance in Jiagedaqi was Jixi, with low altitude and latitude. Dahailin and Xiaobeihu were also good choices for selection.
