A new tidal flow wetland system was created to treat household wastewater more effectively. By using a special 4-stage tidal flow method and a unique substrate made of waste materials, the system removed a high percentage of pollutants like ammonia and phosphorus. The treated water met strict quality standards, showing great potential for decentralized wastewater treatment. The system also improved oxygen levels in the wetland, leading to impressive removal rates of pollutants. This innovative approach could be a useful solution for treating household wastewater and finding a sustainable use for waste materials.
