Vermicompost from Dairy Manure Boosts Lettuce Growth and Quality!
The researchers studied how vermicompost made from dairy manure affects the growth and quality of lettuce. They found that vermicompost had more nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus compared to regular manure. When lettuce was grown in soil mixed with vermicompost, it grew better and had higher levels of certain nutrients like vitamin C and soluble sugar. The best growth of lettuce roots was seen with 30% vermicompost, while the shoots grew best with 50% vermicompost. Overall, vermicompost improved the growth and quality of lettuce.
