Yellow River Delta Coastal Profiles Revealed: Impact on Erosion and Stability
The Yellow River delta has three main types of coastal profiles: constructive, destructive, and stable. Constructive profiles are found in the river mouth area and grow based on the balance of erosion and accretion. Destructive profiles are in the abandoned river mouth area and erode due to ocean dynamics, especially tidal currents. Stable profiles are in specific areas less affected by ocean dynamics. These findings help us understand how the delta's coastline changes over time.
