Plant communities at different altitudes show varying species diversity patterns.
The study looked at different plant communities in Baotianman to see how many species were present and how evenly they were distributed. They found that herb layers had more species than tree and shrub layers, and that species diversity was higher at high and low altitudes compared to middle altitudes. Shrub layers had more even distribution of species than tree and herb layers. Overall, the study showed that different plant communities have different numbers and types of plants, with some areas having more diverse plant life than others.
