New algorithm improves image segmentation accuracy and reduces noise interference.
A new method for automatically selecting the best threshold for image segmentation has been developed. This method uses a two-dimensional bound histogram to determine the threshold value, improving the accuracy of the segmentation process. By applying this method to images of small underwater targets, it was found to be more effective at reducing noise and improving segmentation compared to existing methods. This means that the new approach can better handle images with complex histograms and produce clearer results.
