The study looked at nitrogen pollution in Dianchi Lake sediment. They found high total nitrogen levels, mainly from organic sources. Nitrogen release risk was high, especially in certain areas. Sediment pH favored nitrogen release, influenced by organic matter. Heavy pollution areas had more nitrogen release into the water compared to lightly polluted areas.
