The distribution of talented individuals in Guangxi changed over time during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Talent in north Guangxi decreased as talent in east Guangxi increased. West Guangxi, previously lacking talent, began producing many talented individuals in the Qing Dynasty. This shift was influenced by changes in politics, economics, and education in Guangxi.
