A system was created to estimate rainfall using radar and rain gauge data. It gives hourly rainfall amounts with high accuracy, especially for longer and larger rain events. By adjusting more rain gauges, the estimates become more precise. The system can provide detailed rainfall information every 10 minutes with a resolution of 1 km x 1 km. The results from the past three years show that the system can estimate total rainfall within 20% accuracy for a single rain event.
