The researchers studied the diversity of wetland plant communities in 36 natural reserves in Shanxi. They used different indices to measure species richness, diversity, and evenness. The results showed that the diversity of wetland plants in Shanxi's natural reserves is lower, especially for herbaceous plants. The wetland plant communities in southern Shanxi had higher diversity compared to central and northern Shanxi. The species richness and evenness of the plant communities were positively correlated.
