Rainfall Increases Slope Water Pressure, Urgent Drainage Needed for Safety.
The study looked at how soil slopes behave when it rains a lot. They used a simple model of slopes and studied how water moves through different layers of soil over time. The results showed that as rain continues, water pressure in the soil increases. Water also moves horizontally and vertically through the soil. During rainfall, water content in the soil increases, reaching a maximum capacity over time. This means that for slopes in rainy conditions, it's important to have good drainage and protect the slope angle to prevent water buildup.
