Asian monsoon subsystems linked, impacting rainfall patterns and intensity worldwide.
The relationship between different parts of the Asian summer monsoon was studied using weather data. The results showed that when some parts of the monsoon are weak, other parts are strong, and vice versa. For example, when the East Asian monsoon is strong, the South Asian monsoon is weak. This means that the different parts of the monsoon are connected and affect each other's intensity and rainfall patterns.
