Direct seeding boosts rice yield but manual transplanting leads to higher profits.
The study looked at different ways of planting rice to see how they affect the amount of rice produced and the money made. They tried planting seeds directly in the ground, planting them by hand, and using machines to plant them. Planting seeds directly made the rice grow faster, but it didn't produce as much rice as planting by hand or with machines. Planting with machines made the most money. Planting seeds earlier helped produce more rice and make more money.
