Mulberry leaves thrive in sunlight, boosting photosynthesis and energy efficiency.
The study looked at how different levels of light affect the efficiency of photosynthesis in mulberry leaves. They found that when the leaves transitioned from low light to sunlight, the photosynthetic efficiency of the leaves in full sunlight was higher. The leaves in full sunlight responded faster to the change in light intensity compared to leaves in low light. The leaves in full sunlight also had a higher ability to adjust the light energy between different parts of the photosynthetic system. Overall, mulberry leaves in full sunlight were better at adapting to changes in light intensity than leaves in low light.
