Copper in Soil Hinders Growth of Common Turfgrass Species.
The study looked at how different amounts of copper affect the growth of two types of grass plants. They found that as the copper levels increased, the plants' germination and growth were negatively impacted. The plants absorbed more copper as the levels increased, with roots taking in more than shoots. Both types of grass had similar germination rates under copper treatment, but one type was more affected in terms of growth. Overall, one type of grass had less copper in its roots but the same amount in its overall plant compared to the other type.
