Labor is the true source of wealth in socialist market economies.
Capital has two sides: natural and social. From a natural perspective, capital is material wealth created by labor, capital, and natural resources. In a socialist market economy, human work is the main source of wealth. From a social perspective, capital is a form of social relationships and value created by labor. Labor is the core of value creation, including not just production labor but also scientific, managerial, and service-related work. Under socialism, capital can generate increased value without exploitation, unlike private capital which may involve exploitation for profit. Labor that follows social norms and contributes to progress is considered valuable, even if it doesn't directly create wealth.
