New method boosts boar semen preservation success for improved breeding.
The researchers found the best way to freeze boar semen using 0.25 mL straws. They mixed the semen with special solutions, cooled it slowly, and then froze it in liquid nitrogen. Thawing the semen in warm water helped keep it healthy. This method resulted in high sperm motility, intact cell membranes, and normal sperm shape after thawing.
