The study looked at plant communities in the Buha River region near Qinghai Lake. They found that as species abundance decreased, community diversity also decreased. Species diversity was strongly linked to species richness and evenness. However, community evenness did not have a significant impact on community richness. Overall, species diversity in the area was mainly driven by species richness.
