Mixed plantations boost soil fertility, revolutionizing land restoration efforts worldwide.
Mixed plantations of Phyllostachys heterocycla cv.pubescens and Magnolia officinalis on cutting-over lands of Cunninghamia lanceolata can improve soil fertility. The pH levels in the soil increased, along with organic matter and nutrients like N, P, and K. The highest increase in available N and P was seen in the middle parts of slopes. Overall, these mixed plantations enhance soil quality and boost physical and chemical properties.
