New Criteria for Sustainable Forest Management in Beijing Enhance Ecosystem Health
The article establishes criteria and indicators for managing public welfare forests in Beijing sustainably. The researchers considered principles like unity, operability, and flexibility, and looked at both local and international research on sustainable forest management. They identified seven criteria, such as biodiversity conservation and social benefits, and selected 37 indicators like the number of species in public forests. This work aims to help manage forests in Beijing in a way that benefits the environment and society.
