Soil samples were collected in a village to study soil nutrients. The researchers found that some nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur were decreasing due to chemical fertilizers. Other nutrients like potassium and calcium remained stable. For fields with a history of heavy nutrient use, fertilization recommendations should consider the variability of soil nutrients.
