The main bridge of Zhengzhou Huanghe River Rail-cum-Road Bridge will have steel truss girders arranged in two continuous units. The girders are structurally unique and challenging to erect. After comparing different methods, it was decided to use a multi-point longitudinal hauling scheme for the first unit and a cantilever erection scheme with a gantry crane for the second unit.
