New method creates highly stable coal-water slurry with record mass fraction.
The study looked at how different factors affect the creation of a high mass fraction coal-water slurry using Huanxian coal. By adjusting the amount of additives, water, and coal powder, researchers found that the water quantity has less impact on the slurry's mass fraction. With 32 grams of water, 0.50% to 0.60% additives, and a coal ratio between 1.60 to 1.70, the slurry can reach a mass fraction of 68.40% and maintain good stability.
