The researchers studied how spraying sucrose on blueberry plants affects the sugar content in the fruits and leaves. They used two blueberry varieties and found that spraying a 0.5% sucrose solution increased the sugar content in the fruits the most. The leaves and fruits showed a significant relationship in their sugar content levels. Overall, the study showed that spraying sucrose can increase the sugar content in blueberry fruits, especially when using a 0.5% solution.
