A model was created to predict water quality in a polluted river. By simulating water flow and quality, researchers found that with 18,000 tons of sewage per day, pollution levels in the river meet Chinese water standards. With 19,000 tons of sewage, pollution levels still meet the standards. This model helps protect water quality.
