A model for managing small watersheds in the Yangtze River Valley was tested in Guoluogou Valley. They planted trees, terraced slopes, seeded grass, and built dams to improve the ecosystem. This approach helped create a balanced agricultural system and improved the overall health of the watershed. The model could be a successful example for similar areas with hilly terrain and soil erosion issues.
