Interpolation methods based on geostatistics were compared for air temperature in western China. The combined approach, considering altitude information, provided the best temperature distribution. Co-kriging showed more details but had more errors. Simple kriging and ordinary kriging had lower errors but less detailed results. Overall, the combined approach performed the best for predicting air temperature in western China.
