Altitude and Climate Shifts Impact Carbon Isotopes in Tibetan Plants
The study looked at how plant leaves in the Tibetan Plateau can tell us about the environment. They found that the carbon in plant leaves changes based on altitude, latitude, and longitude. Higher altitudes and lower latitudes and longitudes had different carbon levels. This is because of temperature, pressure, and humidity in the area. Soil water and temperature didn't have a big impact on the carbon levels. This shows that we can learn about the environment by looking at plant leaves in different parts of the Tibetan Plateau.
